The Doctor, Rose and Mickey Smith discover a plot by Cybus co-founder John Lumic to convert the population of London into monotonous cybernetic creatures
Its the part two of Rise of the Cybermen

When watching this episode I noticed the similarities in my own film youth, the most notable is the ear pieces they used as they are very close to how we envisioned what our own ear pieces would look like. But unlike our film Doctor had a much bigger budget obviously as they are able to expand their idea like what we would love to do with our own film, its almost a bare stripped back version compared to this episode.

Unknown to everyone else, Lumic has already been secretly conducting his experiments anyway, using homeless people and turning them into cyborgs. In our film the elderly are used as test subjects for the program, also unknown to everyone. Again similar to our film The Doctor and Rose discover what the EarPods really do whereas in our film it's Steve and Mick who discover the horrors of the revitalisation program.

Whereas in the end of this episode The Doctor tells everyone to surrender and tells the Cybermen that they are volunteering for the upgrade. The Cybermen tell them that they are incompatible and will be deleted.
