On Saturday we started filming at around 10 with Ethan and Hugh filming the corridor scenes that we originally had done with Mario. Afterwards, we were able to film the outside scenes as the wind was almost non-existent which was perfect for the mic to pick up the conversation. As it was also bright outside we had to make sure the exposure wasn't too white and that everything was in focus, we used a viewfinder to help us with this problem and agreed that if we still weren't happy with the brightness we would edit it later.

| Above is what I brought with me, the updated scripts for our two actors and the shot list. |

At around 12 I got into the costume and it fitted perfectly as we were unsure if it would be too tight. Filming the first Dawn scenes were probably the longest takes as we had to get Ethan's reaction, Hugh's reaction and different angles through his lengthy dialogue as well as close up of Dawn as Hugh speaks. We also tried different ways the characters would approach the mysterious figure in the room with Hugh's character Mick coming right up and shaking Dawn while Ethan's character taking a much more cautious approach. We were going to have Ethan come over and shake my character as well but decided that we need to relay back to the audience that Steve is the more cautious character so he goes to shake Dawn but in the end, pulls away and only watches.

Being the character Dawn was actually harder than what I thought. My character in YOUTH is a lot different to my character in ORIGIN even though both parts are without dialogue. In Origin, I had to move around in nearly every scene and constantly use different facial expressions while in Youth I had to sit still in a trance while trying to ignore the other two characters. In the beginning, I found it hard to sit still and keep a straight face while our two other actors shook and shouted at me. After we had done one full take I found it much easier to just stare out the window and ignore the actors.
So far this was our longest day of filming as we started at 10am and finished at 5pm, this was mostly due to filming the core scenes of our film and getting the best shots as well as filming the interaction between Steve and Mick when the latter put the earpiece in and by the end of the day we had 80% of Youth filmed so we were right on schedule.
