YOUTH: Character Profiles

Dawn 

Dawn is a 50 plus-year-old woman who lives alone in a downstairs apartment. It is assumed that one day an organisation initiated the revitalise programme on Dawn as she is the perfect target; alone, vulnerable and old.

Steve and Mick know her as Mick is her grandson and Steve is Mick's long-time best friend. 

Due to actor setbacks, we had to make it look as if Dawn was already through the process, but not finished, hence why she immediately dies once the earpiece is pulled out.

Steve

Steve is Mick's best friend and the wiser out of the two. This is clearly shown in the film as Steve keeps far away from Dawn while Mick goes up close. It's because of Steve's cautiousness and higher intellect that stops him from putting the earpiece in and accidentally uncovering the "Revitalisation Programme". Steve's around 19-20, male and played by Ethan, Anna Campfield's next door neighbour who has participated in drama inside and outside of school.

Mick

Mick is a 20-year-old male who is Dawn's grandson and an overly cautious or smart person, hence why didn't think before putting the earpiece in his ear and not thinking of the consequences of taking out Dawn's ear. It's due to Mick's carefree and unthinkingness that results in himself accidentally being revitalised.
